Issue #6, 2009 The notion of impossibility within Second Life is mostly defined by the limits of possibilities in what we call “Real Life”. To some, it is the impossible in their own life: having social or professional activities, a physical outlook or a lifestyle that we feel is out of reach. To others, “impossible” in Second Life is about more complex possibilities, perceived as totally impossible: being a faun, a dragon, living on another planet or travelling in time. When we chose impossible as a new theme to our issue of Uncover, we had in mind rather metaphysical impossibilities, images and stories of the improbable, of the things that solely exist in our minds, creativity, dreams.

Our most ancient history, our most secular religions are full of journeys to the unknown.Today is our turn. Since Uncover Magazine set its office in a flying ship, we have wanted to use this opportunity to follow the trails of the great explorers, set our own coordinates, make our own route…Today we start our own Odyssey…

Issue #4, 2009 We are proud to present to you issue DARE. A four-letter word that sums up almost everything Second Life is about. Our list of thoughts and wishes for this issue was so long that we had to cut into it, or we would still be working on more projects at this time. For DARE can be seen under so many angles: some SLifers dare start a new business, dare test themselves, dare pursue a dream, or dare open, some dare new experiences they wouldn’t try in their Real Life. But dare is mostly “in the eye of the beholder”, for some simple actions to some are real challenges to others. In this issue, we dared some people, and we dared ourselves to many things.

Issue #3, 2009 Choosing DREAM was not just a seasonal choice as we were entering the Holiday season, it was also an answer to a general state of mind, one full of doubts as to our close future, with very changing Real and Second Life Worlds. In this troubled period of time around the world, Second Life remains for us a sort of safe haven, where we can free our mind, share happy moments, within a community that allows us freedom, experiences, and, as we are going to see it in this issue, DREAM; because dreams we need, dreams we want, dreams we seek.
